Taxes Report Should Print or Export a Condensed Version (edited)
The problem is that the Taxes Report shows all the transactions and all the payees for the tax lines you have defined. But that amounts according to my printer to 34 pages! All one needs is what you are going to use on your Tax Return, which is normally just the bottom line. Some tax apps ask for the totals for payees such as Banks who paid interest. But that is only to be a few banks.
It is great that you can collapse these transactions and payees in the Taxes Report. BUT Simplifi doesn't print WYSIWYG but the entire original report. I would like it to print or export what I want and not all the extra stuff.
Here is what I want to print minus the amounts:
You see this could all fit on one page. Of course, the workaround is for me to do a Screen Save and print that, which is what I will probably do in January.
I hope this makes sense.

I see I am getting no love for my suggestion. Most people don't care to print reports, I think, and I provided my own workaround. LOL
Seriously, I doubt we ever get dedicated printing, but Quicken does seem to be moving to allow export to PDF, Excel, etc. so you can print there. So the best bet is to improve the export function to export what you want or need rather than everything.

I am promoting this hoping that a coach will see it. Good luck.

The new Saved Reports feature is a great step in the right direction, but I was disappointed to see that it still won't remember the columns you want or the collapsed lines. When you save it, it doesn't remember. When you print or export to PDF, it prints the entire 14 or so pages.
All you need for doing your taxes are the bottom lines. I don't need to see all 24 transactions for our social security; just how much the total was. Same for 1099-R. And the same for dividends by type (taxable or non-taxable), bank interest, charitable contributions.
I know I would have gotten more than my vote for this if I had made the request more generic but really this is something that mainly pertains to the Tax Report. But I am not giving up.
@Coach Natalie Should I change this to make it broader or just delete this idea and start over?

Saved Reports to the Rescue. Using those I was able to create two saved reports that give me what I need that I can export or print in 1-3 pages.
- I was able to make and Income & Expense Report I call Tax Report 2026 that includes just my tax categories (I had to choose them individually) so now I just get the bottom line, which is a lot more useful to me than the Taxes Reports that wouldn't let me export without all the transactions (14 pages). I can now print or export 2 pages.
- The above report doesn't give me the breakdown of Charitable Deductions by Payee that I need, but I can do that with another Saved Report. I did a Year to date report for charity category but arranged it by Payee. I saved it as Charitable Deductions 2026, and it only requires 1 printed page so far.
- I still think the Taxes Report (All Reports really) should allow us to collapse lines and print out and save the report with our changes though.
But Saved Reports go a long way to satisfying my feature request.
