Add an Income Tax Calculator to Planning Tools (edited)
Recently I was using the Tax Report for 2025 in tandem with an early version of my Tax Program to try to figure out how much I would owe in order to send a payment, which I subsequently did. But it wasn't easy to do without all the final data.
I remembered that Quicken Classic for Windows used to have a tax planner module (Maybe it still does but it's not in the Mac version). Such a planner would work similarly to the Retirement Planner where you define your tax parameters, your exemptions, your deductions, dependents, etc. I remember it worked well in Quicken Windows when I had that version. Of course, at the time Intuit owned both Quicken and TurboTax so this was part of the reason for the planner.
For seniors with all the life changes, retirement distributions, social security, changing standard deductions, it has been a challenge for me the past 2-3 years. Same would be true for newly marrieds, new jobs, new kids, etc.
I am not sure how much interest there would be in this, but I think it would be a great addition to the retirement planner, and if Quicken Windows still has this feature, maybe some of that could be grafted in.
I see it as a way to do "What If" scenarios similar to the Retirement Planner.
Edit: I got a vote. Whoopee!
