Robinhood Banking - Checking account shows zero or pending transactions as balance

Hi,

I recently opened a Robinhood Banking Checking account. The account balance normally shows zero balance (the transactions are shown correctly). Also I noticed if I transfer some money into checking account, during the period, the transfer shows pending, the total pending amount shows up as the account balance and when the pending transactions clear, the account balance goes back to zero.

Thanks a lot for your help.

    Hello @Simplera,

Thank you for reaching out! To help troubleshoot, please provide more information. In your Quicken Simplifi, does that checking account show as a checking account or as an investment account? Is the cash in the account tracked as cash, or as a money market fund?

I look forward to your reply!

    hi @Coach Kristina ,

The account is tracked as a checking account. The cash in account is tracked as Cash.

    Thanks.

    Hello @Simplera,

Thanks for letting us know! Can you let us know how long this has been occurring for? Has this always occurred since you've added the account to Quicken Simplifi? I would see if the following steps work to resolve the issue you are seeing:

    • Navigate to the bank's website, sign in, and then remove Quicken's access from the bank's third-party linked apps.
    • Make all of the accounts with the bank manual by following the steps here.
    • Once you see the account(s) listed in the Manual Accounts section under Settings > Accounts, go back through the Add Account flow to reconnect to the bank.
    • If the connection is successful, carefully link the account(s) found to your existing Quicken Simplifi account(s) by following the steps here.

Let us know how this goes!

    Hi @Coach Jon,

I followed the steps to remove all linkages to Quicken from the Robinhood linked apps and then made all the accounts manual. And the re-added the accounts and that did not resolve the issue. The checking account balance is still 0. One thing that I noted, may be the devs may find it useful is, that when you add the accounts, on the screen where you get the opportunity to choose create new or link existing accounts, it shows the account balances as well. And there as well the shown account balance was zero.

    Thanks.

    Hello @Simplera,

Thank you for the information! Can you please provide the following information? This will help us determine the next steps:

    • The name of the account in question, as it appears in Quicken Simplifi.
    • The name of the account in question, as it appears on the bank's website.
    • A fresh screenshot of the balance for the account in Quicken Simplifi.
    • A screenshot of the balance displayed on the bank's website for comparison.
    • A screenshot of the Accounts Summary page from the bank's website that has a wide enough scope to show the full page URL. This is the landing page after signing in, and typically lists all accounts and balances. You will want to take this from a web browser and not a mobile browser, as well as redact any private info such as account numbers.

We will also need logs to be sent:

    1. Log in to the Quicken Simplifi Web App.
    2. Select Profile from the left-hand navigation bar.
    3. With the Profile menu open, hold down the Option key for Mac or the Alt key for Windows, and then click Send Feedback.
    4. Leave all boxes checked, add a brief description of the issue, and then click Send.
