Update: KBB Vehicle Value Enhancements Now Available in Early Access

We’ve added a couple of enhancements to the Kelley Blue Book vehicle value integration! These updates are now available in Early Access on both the Web and Mobile Apps.

When editing your Kelley Blue Book–linked account from Settings > Accounts, you will now see an option to “Automatically update miles.”

• This option automatically updates your vehicle's mileage using your driving history.
• You can customize how miles auto-update by entering your own 30-day mileage increment.
• This option will be enabled by default as we roll out this enhancement.

You can also click “Edit details” to update other information, such as mileage, ZIP code, and vehicle condition. After making updates, Simplifi will automatically re-run the vehicle valuation.

If you prefer, you can turn the automatic mileage update feature off at any time and update mileage manually instead.

The point of this feature should be to assist in tracking the worth of your assets, which includes your vehicles. However, a trade-in value is not an accurate representation of value, at all. I'm not sure why Quicken made the decision to use this value, rather than actual cash value or private party sale value.

Trade-in value is not actual cash value, it is a reduced value due to factoring in the costs and convenience of trading.

Please give us the option to use private sale value from KBB. Otherwise, to me, this feature to not useful at all in terms of tracking asset value.
