Fidelity Elan credit card transaction update delays (edited)

As of 645 pm Tuesday 1/27 my most recent Fidelity (Elan) card transaction data in Quicken is from Weds 1/23. There is normally a weekend delay but that still means it should have been updated by yesterday overnight. The Fidelity site indicated new cleared transactions around 948am today How can it be taking so long to update Quicken card spending. Fidelity support sub on Redditt suggested contacting Quicken.

Anecdotally Fidelity card transaction data seems to have become much slower and on a very unpredictable refresh schedule since 2026 started.

Note this is same issue for both Quicken Classic and Quicken Simplifi products.

I have this card but don't use it often so I cannot attest to how fast new transactions download. Fidelity seems overall slow to post transactions. Does this credit card download pending transactions or only cleared transactions? Have you checked to make sure they have cleared online at either Fidelity.com or myaccountaccess.com (Elan)? You probably have.

Do you use the Fidelity Inv & Retirement connection or the Elan connection? You could try making your Fidelity Credit Card account manual and then reconnecting it to the other connection. (I just signed in at Elan; it had been so long I had to reset my password!)

If you do decide to change the connection, make your account manual and then go through the process of adding a new account. When you find your account, link it…

Thanks for the suggestions. I have used Elan connection in the past for Quicken. I'm a Simplifi newbee this month giving it a try. So far I'm liking what it offers. Would a switch over to using Elan as the source undo all the manual transaction category modifications I've just gone through to clean up the last 12 months of activity from Fidelity (hundreds of items)? Would it mess with my other Fidelity accounts on the same login?

I also turned on pending but nothing new showing up so far. Same in Quicken C. (it used to work in Quicken C but it may have been when I was connecting to Elan. Let me do a Quicken C backup there and do some experiments there)

Welcome; glad you are liking the app. It shouldn't make any difference if you switch that one account to Elan. The others would stay connected. Just take the Credit Card to manual first and add Elan and then link it. Elan will find just the one account if I remember correctly.

Of course, it may not be any better but at least you can see if it is.

And also since you are new to Simplifi, do NOT delete any institution in Settings:Accounts if there are accounts attached. It will delete the accounts and transactions. Of course, you shouldn't be doing that in this case. You are just going to make that one account manual and then add it back as an Elan account, which will add Elan as a new Institution with one account under it.

    Good luck.

Update on my original question - the card balance has just now updated, but its still missing the new transactions. Hope I don't have wait for another 3 hour refresh interval to see them. Is there a way to override this interval and force an earlier refresh?

No, it's a 3-4 hour wait. There is a workaround, which is to reset the connection or make it manual and reconnect.

BTW, does the Fidelity Card download pending transactions? I guess I need to use the darn card to find out. 😀

The card supported pending transactions at some point last year, but that's no longer working in both Quicken products
