Don't Delete Accounts When Deleting an Institution in Settings:Accounts, Make Them Manual (edited)

I know that this happened to me when I was new as well as to many other new users of Simplifi.

You want to delete the institution in order to clear out bad connections or whatever. There is a warning that connected accounts and transactions will also be deleted but this warning is not scary enough.

My druthers would be for Simplifi to make the attached accounts manual so that if a user really wants to delete them, they'd have to go delete them individually.

If that cannot be done for programming reasons, then the second best thing would be a really SCARY warning with a skull and bones and a big RED X that would also require the user to type in the words DELETE ASSOCIATED ACCOUNTS.

Another idea that needs more votes! We need backup and restore or at least a restore point even if it is only good for 24 hours.

A few weeks ago when making my Apple Cash account manual, which you have to do on the phone, I must have inadvertently hit delete instead of manual. The two choices are right together and though you get a confirmation, I must have confirmed delete when thinking I was confirming manual. Edit: Actually I deleted the Apple Savings too so not quite sure how I did that. I just figured it had to me something I inadvertently did.

On the phone, it is harder to see. It's really necessary to make deleting accounts harder to do or have some way to undelete them (for a while at least).

Note: I found that Apple Wallet accounts cannot be made manual on the web app because the next time you update on the iPhone, Simplifi reconnects them.
