Savings Goal Not Adding Back to Spending Plan with Withdrawn

Prior to the January events effecting balances and savings goals, when a savings goal was withdrawn it was added back to the "Spending Plan" as long as that goal was "Included this month". This allowed you to save in the savings goals in one month and then withdraw in the next month to carry over funds. This is the recommended treatment for annual transactions in Simplifi's help page.

I am experiencing that the withdrawal is not adding to the spending plan as it previously did.

You can see that the -276.86 is reflected in the middle section, but it is NOT reflected on the far right, which is the amount that interfaces with the "Left this month" spending plan. As such the withdrawal of the funds is NOT adding back to the available to spend in the Left this month of the spending plan.

This goal was created on 1/31/2026, which I believe was after everything was fixed so I am a little confused as to why this is broken.

I just tested this on my end and didn't experience any issues with the withdrawal going back to my available funds in the Spending Plan. To clarify, this will only occur if:

You use the "Withdraw for something else" option
You have overcontributed to the Goal, as the 'monthly contribution' amount will be used until that time

It looks like you meet both of the criteria I mentioned, and I do see how it shows different numbers in the Spending Plan. I see that it also shows "Not contributed". I wonder if something may be going on with the Savings Goal itself. Since this is a brand new Goal, have you tried deleting and re-creating it from scratch? You can start with a "saved so far" amount, or even go to the most recently closed month in the Spending Plan (January) to contribute from that month if needed.

I think your situation is different from the test @Coach Natalie performed in the following way:

Some (perhaps all) of the $276.86 you withdrew in February was contributed in a prior month.
All of the $50 Coach Natalie withdrew in February was contributed in February.

Is that right? That probably explains why hers worked and yours didn't.

It seems that what you want to be able to do is contribute money in one month and have that contribution charged against your Spending Plan, then withdraw the money in a later month and have it credited back to the Spending Plan in that later month. I've never done that. Did it used to work that way?

@Coach Natalie and @DryHeat thank you for your responses. Natalie helped me to identify my problem, this was user error and a misunderstanding on my part. I was able to get this fixed. What needed to happen was that I needed to zero out the anticipated contribution in the savings goal in the spending plan for the month. Once that was zero the withdrawal increased the spending plan as expected.
