Problem: Simplifi continually can't connect to my bank - M&T Direct Connect
I have contacted customer support for M&T about 3 times in the last week and there are no problems from their end.
I have also used the Quicken AI help feature and also contacted customer support by phone. The error code that I receive after Simplifi tries to connect is FDP-181. Customer Support indicated on Wednesday that this code is not in their data base of error codes. On Wednesday, while I was on hold with CS, I tried the steps which I was told to do (Reset connection; Delete Institution; Connect). After about the 4th try, the connection was made and I received all of the transactions.
Today (2/27/26), I opened Simplifi and, once again, I can't connect. Not sure what the issue is here but it's a bit of a problem not being able to retrieve data from the financial institution that I use the most.
