Why does a PDF file not show up in "Preview" when used as an attachment

I scan most of my bills and then store them in an internal file system but every now and then I like to attach it to the transaction created in Simplifi. Since all of these are PDF's it makes sense that if the attachment, once loaded, previews correctly in the preview window without having to subsequently open it up in a browser. Am I missing something?

    I'm not able to preview a PDF when I click on the paperclip symbol in the Transaction list.

    But I am able to view it when I open the Transaction detail window, scroll down to Attachments, and click on the PDF file name.

    Is it the same for you?

    (It would be a lot more convenient if it worked from the Transaction list.)
