Rules not working

I have this rule setup. My partner transfers money into a shared savings account. I want to update the Payee name and make the category Balance Adjustment.

I think the issue is that the category to update is Balance Adjustment, the rule is not working and may be a bug in the system.

You might want to analyze this by breaking it up into two parts … first the match, then the changes.

I suggest you uncheck "Update Category" and see if the rule works as a simple "Rename Payee" rule.

• If it does, then your suspicion that the category is the problem will be confirmed.
• If it doesn't, then you probably have something not quite right in the matching portion.

It probably shouldn’t be an expense of 250. The original name is a deposit, and the account is a joint house savings. Change the amount of the transaction from an expense type to some sort of positive type (can’t recall exact options provided but deposit, income, transfer etc )
