Care Code: QCS-0429-2 for NY's 529 College Savings Program

Hello, I’m unable to update my NY 529 College Savings Program account in Simplifi.

I received this error on April 23, 2026 and again on April 24, 2026:

We are unable to update NY’s 529 College Savings Program at this time. Please try again later. If you continue to experience issues, please contact Simplifi support. Care Code: QCS-0429-2

Please help me determine whether this is a connection issue and what steps I should take to fix it.

    @LJM16, thanks for reaching out to the Community with this issue!

    When checking your connection attempts on our end, I see an FDP-103 error with NY’s 529 College Savings Program, indicating invalid credentials are being used. The QCS-0429-2 error is different and requires waiting 24 hours from the last failed attempt before trying again.

    I would definitely recommend waiting the 24 hours. If you end up receiving the FDP-103 error after that, there is a separate thread for that issue with specific steps to try, particularly around using an aggregator username and password:

    I would definitely suggest chiming in there in that case.

    @Coach Natalie, thanks for the quick reply! I see the FDP-102 error but both days when I enter my credentials (which I confirmed work on the NYS 529 site), I get the error message I posted above.

    I'm not seeing an FDP-102 error in your recent connection history with NY's College Savings Program. Do you mean an FDP-103 error? If so, I'd recommend posting in the other thread to answer the questions and follow the steps, since this issue is an ongoing topic here in the Community. It would be helpful to have other users join so we can get to the bottom of things.

    First, you will want to wait a full 24 hours between connection attempts to give the QCS-0429-2 time to clear, since this error prevents any connections from being established with the bank.

    Just tried my credentials again (4/26) and am still getting the same error message:

    Program at this time. Please try again later. If you continue to experience issues, please contact Simplifii support.

    Care Code: QCS-0429-2

    @LJM16, thanks for the update!

    When checking your connection attempts from our end, I am still only seeing an FDP-103 error. I see 2 attempts yesterday that resulted in the FDP-103 error. Can you provide a screenshot of the error you're receiving on your end, please?

    I would also recommend trying the other bank options for NY 529 in Quicken Simplifi to see if either of the others works for you, or returns a different error:

    @LJM16, thank you for the screenshots!

    Since it appears the FDP-103 error is occurring on an existing account in Quicken Simplifi, please follow these steps to establish a completely fresh connection with the bank, which will allow us to confirm the error on a brand new connection:

    1. Make all of the accounts with this bank manual by following the steps here.
    2. Once you see the account(s) listed in the Manual Accounts section under Settings > Accounts, go back through the Add Account flow to reconnect to the bank.
    3. If the connection is successful, carefully link the account(s) found to your existing Quicken Simplifi account(s) by following the steps here

    I'd also recommend trying the other bank options, as mentioned in my last comment, if the one you're using doesn't work:
