Apple balances are opposite what they should be (edited)

Apple savings account showing like a credit card as negative with no pending or incorrect transaction. Bug for last few days. How can we make it positive or fix the balance.

Yep, they are aware of it. Not sure what the problem is but this integration has not worked well for a year. There were problems but they got worse. Now we have to wait for this problem to be resolved and then we maybe can work on the other problem.

Check out this conversation. Towards the end, you will see the announcement from Coach Natalie about the inverse balance problem.

    Thanks!

Too bad . I did a transaction now suddenly it is showing - that transaction amount. This is weird.

Yep, when I do a transaction in Apple Cash for say $60, it shows my balance as -$60 even if I have a couple of hundred in the account. When it clears, it will then show the balance but negative instead of positive.

I just noticed this too on my Apple Wallet accounts (Apple Card and Apple Cash). Both balances show the inverse of what they are supposed to be. My Apple Cash shows a negative balance while my Apple Card (credit card) shows a positive balance. This is messing up my credit card total balance.

@Coach Natalie Could you guys advise on status of Apple accounts that are updated through the mobile application showing inverse balances? I didn't find anything under known product issues section.

This is also showing negative for me as well.

Just recently, my Apple credit card (synched on my phone in Apple Wallet) switched from an negative number (liability) to a positive number (asset) on the Simplifi account list. The credit card is synching with Simplifi, and shows the correct balance, but the total is not being displayed as a negative number in Simplifi (nor being deducted from my assets). This happens on all Simplifi interfaces: web, Mac app, and iphone App.

Yep, the Apple Account integration was sick and got sicker. Let's hope they get it fixed this week.

    Here's the link to follow:

Update: Coach Natalie just posted that a fix will be released in Mobile App 6.22.0.

Hi @SRC54 - not a solution. If balance is itself showing incorrectly income cases, I moved money from Apple savings to Marcus savings account from Goldman Sachs. The same company which provides Apple savings account today. It gives the same rate as well.

So did you close your Apple Savings?

Coach Natalie says the inverse issue will be fixed in Mobile version 6.22.0, which should be late this week or next week (my guess). I never had any other problem with Apple Savings.

But yeah, there was another issue with Apple Cash, to wit, that if you had a pending transaction, it would subtract that pending transaction from $0 and give you a negative balance. After it cleared or any transaction cleared, the balance would be correct again.

@N4KHQ Coach Natalie has said it will be fixed in Mobile version 6.22.0. So by next week, I think. I have 6.20.1 currently. We should go to 6.21.0 soon. But there is no fixed schedule.

@N4KHQ Do I dare reconnect my Apple accounts. 6.22.0 hasn't been released. I am still on 6.20.1. What version of the mobile app do you have?

Of course, it's possible they were able to fix it without the update or maybe Apple fixed something.

6.20.1(91813) is all I see on the mobile

Well, it seems to be fixed. I reconnected and had no problem with Apple Cash and Apple Savings BUT it downloaded a new Apple Card. Scary but my old manual one was still there so deleted the new one and added back the old one. All seems fine.

Now I will have to buy something early next week to see if they fixed the problem they were supposed to be fixing when the inverse thing arrived. LOL
