I just want to make sure I understand this correctly. If i delete…say 60 transactions from an account I can't import them again? Why would you guys do this?
Hello @HDmoney,
Thanks for reaching out! To help clarify how importing works in regard to deleted imported transactions:
This information, as well as further information on importing transactions into Quicken Simplifi, can be found here in our support article: https://support.simplifi.quicken.com/en/articles/4413430-how-to-manually-import-transactions#h_07ed774471
We also have a related idea post you may be interested in voting for here:
I hope this helps!
I think it's for the same reason, you cannot redownload transactions from your bank once they've been downloaded and deleted. There is an internal guard against doing it.
You can redownload or reimport if you create a brand new account. It stinks, but there it is.
I guess we could ask for a feature request, but it probably wouldn't do any good.
Combining this design with NO recycle bin for deleted transactions is very frustrating. I never would delete any transaction if I knew this ahead of time. Currently you have like 2 seconds to change your mind if you delete a transaction(s).
There are a lot of things I like about Quicken Simplifi but lately I feel like I spend more time battling the software then using is productively.
Here's a couple of Feature Requests to vote for:
Edit: @Coach Jon was right behind me. We really do need some sort of Oops guard in Simplifi. So come on everyone and vote these up!
I can certainly understand how you feel. We do have another great idea post as well that would allow users to back up and restore their data if this is something else you would like to vote for:
Thank you for your feedback!
