Automatically resize column widths to fit browser window (dynamic column sizing)

I would love to see an option for dynamic column sizing throughout the Simplifi web interface.

Currently, column widths remain fixed, so every time I resize my browser window I have to manually adjust the columns again. This becomes especially frustrating for users who frequently resize their browser or use different monitor sizes.

Please add an option that automatically adjusts column widths to fill the available horizontal space while maintaining reasonable minimum widths. As the browser window is expanded or reduced, the columns should dynamically resize so the available space is used efficiently without requiring manual adjustment.

Ideally, columns should not all resize equally. Certain columns, such as Date, Flag, Reviewed, and other narrow fields, have little benefit from becoming wider and should remain close to their minimum widths. Instead, the extra space should be prioritized for columns that benefit from it most, such as Notes, Payee, Category, and Tags, allowing more information to be visible without manual resizing.

This behavior should be consistent anywhere transactions or tabular data are displayed, including:

Transaction View
Reports
Search results
Register/account views
Any other transaction or data tables throughout Simplifi

This would make the interface feel much more responsive, reduce repetitive manual resizing, and improve usability across different screen sizes and window layouts.

Thanks for reaching out! I converted your idea post into a discussion because the ability to resize columns already exists in Quicken Simplifi.

To resize, simply select the 3-dot menu next to a column, then choose "Fit to Contents" or "Switch to Flexible Width". You can also adjust the column width manually by sliding the line between columns left or right.
