Is anybody else experiencing an incorrect balance for a Chase card being shown in Simplifi?
@RetiredGuy, thanks for reaching out to the Community!
I'd recommend following these steps to establish a completely fresh connection with the bank and gain a new access token, to see if doing so clears things up:

Not having problems with mine for what it's worth .
Has this cleared up for you?
I am pretty sure I've been seeing this also, in the last few days. I was waiting to make sure and then this morning was crazy but now it seems that everything is reconnected. I'll check if it resolves with the next re-sync.
The amount of pending transactions listed in the tooltip does not match the pending transactions listed in simplifi and this makes my balance wrong for the account and in the projected cash flow chart above the transaction list.
I will say that Chase is one of those banks that sometimes updates the balance without clearing the transaction (or is it the other way around?). They haven't been as bad about it lately.
I'm not sure. We had issues with it for a long time but it was fixed and hasn't been an issue for me for quite a while, until a few days ago.
Well the next refresh happened, and while the balance is much less wrong that it was, it's still wrong. The pending transactions as shown in the register are $245 less than the amount that shows in the tooltip when I hover over "balance with pending". (This is a lot better than before when it was off by thousands!)
@EL1234, thanks for joining the discussion!
To begin troubleshooting a balance mismatch in Quicken Simplifi, you will want to follow these steps to establish a completely fresh connection with the bank and gain a new access token:
Thanks for your message! I have one checking account with Chase and a few credit cards as well. Do I need to make them all manual, or is it enough to just do the checking account?
(I ask because last time I did this it recreated a lot of my recurring series and I'd rather not risk messing them up unless necessary.)
@EL1234, to get that completely fresh connection, it is usually recommended to make all of the accounts manual and then re-link them back up upon the fresh connection. Doing so should not affect your recurring transactions; you just want to keep the ones you've added selected during the discovery phase, and deselect any you don't want to add.
If you think it would be beneficial, you are welcome to contact our Chat/Phone Support team directly to have them walk you through the steps on a screen share. This should ensure everything goes smoothly!

Trying it now. I have to say it's a little frustrating that I need to recreate the timing for each series and it doesn't remember/respect what I had before. For example, I had one that was set to twice a week but now it's entered as one a week and I don't see the option for twice. I will need to go back and change it later. Also it shows me many options for recurring bills that were over months or years ago and since it doesn't show me the date(s) of the transactions it's trying to make them from, I need to figure out which to keep and which to remove. Some show "Custom" for the frequency and I can't see what it's talking about. I am going to need to go through and fix everything up. I sure hope this ends up helping my problem!
Okay.
I fixed the amount on three CC Bills, changed the dates of two (one was a day off and one was 10 days off). Redid the fix of the amount of one of them. I hope I'm good to go and didn't miss anything important.
But the balance issue still needs to be resolved!
In summary, I followed the steps to remove the access, make manual, relink, and fix the recurring transactions. And the balance is still off by $245. The transaction list shows $X in pending transactions and the tooltip shows $X+245 for the total pending transactions.
@EL1234, thanks for giving those steps a try and posting back!
I'm sorry to hear about the trouble with your recurring transactions, but I'm glad you've got it worked out. For the balance issue, since it sounds like it's related to pending transactions specifically, I'd next recommend following these steps, in case something in the balance option itself is stuck:
Let us know if this works!
Thank you, I will try that. Is it the same if I edit the setting via the "Balance w/ pending" tooltip when looking at the account in the transaction list?
@EL1234, you can change the balance type in whichever way you prefer.
Thanks, and let us know how it goes!
Great! Waiting about an hour for the refresh in the other setting. Stay tuned…
Okay the next refresh ran and it's still off by $245. I will change the setting back now and check in after 4 hours.
Looking again and one of the numbers changed. Now it's off by $115. My guess is that the $130 difference comes from an overdue reminder which is for $130, though I'm not sure why. (It's the only overdue reminder in this account although I also have one for today, for a completely different amount, $125.)
You know what? I think I figured it out. I had to widen the number of years of transactions shown and I found two more pending transactions that equal $245.
Sorry for making everyone crazy!!
@EL1234, glad to hear you got things worked out!
LOL. I think pending should always be at the top!! Anyhow, it's something to remember to ask next time. Glad it is now right.
They are at the top! But if they are from a year that's prior to the "Since 20xx" setting then they won't show at all. I actually think I've been bitten by that before…
Yeah, I realize that but I keep all of mine open going back to 1972; however, most of my transactions are 2021-. So I tend to forget that transactions can be hidden.
Edit: If you have fast internet and a decent computer, it doesn't much affect performance.
Thanks for your help!
