Yesterday I was informed for the first time that the Watchlist feature does not work if a user has over 200 active accounts in Simplifi. Putting aside the unacceptable fact that it has taken Quicken support nearly three years to figure out this simple explanation for why my Watchlists have not been working ever since I first signed up (if that is indeed the reason), as well as the fact that one of the primary features of the software has a 200 account limit even though Quicken claims (according to the customer support reps I spoke to) that the software supports up to 512 accounts of each account type, I have a question about the number of accounts listed in my dashboard.
When I go to my Transactions page, the "All Accounts" box at the top states "555 Accounts." However, by my count, I have slightly over 200 active accounts. Is the stated account number including closed accounts? Or is there an error in the stated number of accounts?
In addition, I would be grateful if the coaches here could provide any additional information about the 200 account limit for the Watchlist feature (why that limit exists, for example, and if anything is being done to increase it), and whether having over 200 accounts can cause any other problems with the software. I received conflicting information from the customer support reps I spoke to, so it would be great if someone could get to the bottom of this. My understanding was that Quicken was designed to handle a large number of accounts and it is disappointing that that is not true for all features of the software.
