This recently changed.
I added a split to my biweekly paychecks with a total net amount and the contribution. I want the income to list the full net value. And, it does for past paychecks. But for future pay days, it shows only the post-contribution amount, reducing my apparent income for all future months. This only recently started happening. It used to show the full income before the contribution for all paydays, past and future.
For example, let's say my actual net pay, before the contribution, is $2000. Let's also say the contribution is $500. I add 2 splits: 1 for the total pay of $2,000 (positive) and the contribution of -$500. The split value above the splits should now say $1,500. But, on the Income tab, it should display $2,000. It only shows it for past paychecks. For future paychecks, it shows the post-contribution amount.
I like that the contributions all show up together under my Investment Contribution category in Other Spend. The contribution from the split also shows up here. This part has not changed.
But, by only including my post-contribution income for future paychecks, it has the effect of reducing all future income by the cumulative value of all the contributions coming out of my paychecks.
It didn't used to do this.
It would be nice to be able to select the value to be used in the Income calculations.
