Discover Credit Card transition to Capital One - No transactions prior to April 30 (edited)

We recently had our Discover Credit Card transition to Capitol One. It was supposed to be a seamless transition, with no changes. However we have discovered that the Discover transactions prior to April 30 have not come across on Simplifi. In order for our budgeting tools to be accurate, we need those transactions recorded. Has anyone else encountered this? Will these eventually come over to Simplifi? or will we have to load them manually?

To clarify, did you disconnect the original account from Discover and then link it to Capital One by following the official steps in the Alert?

Doing so should retain all historical transaction and balance data, since you continue using the same account in Quicken Simplifi.

We added the Capitol One account and transactions since April 30 migrated over. Unfortunately we got rid of the former Discover account, fearing that there would be duplicate transactions. Was that the wrong move to make?

@Cschaumburg, the correct step to take would have been to link the original account to Capital One so you didn't lose your history.

Since the account was deleted and the history is permanently gone, and since Capital One only provided you with transaction data back to April, you'll need to either manually enter prior transactions or import them from a CSV file. If Capital One provides a CSV file for your transactions, that may be your best bet!
