Calm and in Control Achievement Doesn't Seem To Count Mobile Use (edited)

I log in at least daily and use the app, so I am always confused when the Calm and in Control progress resets - which it just did last week. Last week I was on vacation and I didn't use the web app (only the mobile app), which I think might be the problem. It seems to not count mobile app use as counting towards the progress - even though I have biometric login for each use of the mobile app. This has caused my streak to be reset numerous times and I think might be a bug in the behavior of this streak or what it is counting as a login.

Is there a way to positively know what a login is? Now that I am not on vacation, I plan to use the web app and mobile app fairly regularly, and so I don't really have a good way to know what is a login and what isn't besides waiting weeks and hoping that I only use the mobile app with this specific login method during that one week

Your login is your quicken ID and password, which you can change at Quicken.com. I know mobile apps often don't save the password. In Mac, they are saved in an App called Passwords, and Safari references it. Most browsers, like Chrome, have a built-in password keeper, so you might be able to check in settings to find your login information.

At least for me, and I think everyone, your login is the same on web, mobile and quicken site including this community. But maybe I just set it up that way.

The issue is that I think there is a bug where on mobile, some app use doesn't count as a login. They are trying to eliminate whether putting your password in or using the biometrics behave differently.

I am stating that the problem is that I don't know if there is a different behavior except, maybe, in about 3 months or something, I might hit a week where I have the behavior needed that is only mobile for a week to potentially create the bug condition. I am hoping they can point me somewhere where I can know "immediately" if a certain behavior counted as a login or not.

(edit) Potentially, if I login without biometrics, it might never occur again, which also then wouldn't allow me to provide the feedback if it worked or not. Just in general I need a quicker feedback loop of some kind to be able to provide more info.

I figured I was misunderstanding you. You want to know if the logins count differently. Interesting. They shouldn't, but you may be correct.

I don't use the mobile app much but maybe 2-3 times a week. I've never been able to understand the badges thing either. I know that a lot of mine are wrong too. I should be 100% on all of them, but I'm not.

@Snipes, I'm not finding anything in our help center that indicates what counts as a "login" for the Calm and in Control achievement. I'd suggest following Kristina's recommendation above to see whether using biometric login features is affecting anything, which should help narrow this down as a potential culprit.

I believe it is something along the lines of where using the app on mobile for a day and then coming back the next day, there never is a logout in that. It seems to do something where it "locks" but it doesn't notice that there is a date change and perform a log out and log back in, count it as a new login somewhere, etc. When I am on vacation, traveling for vacation, etc. and I might not have my laptop with me to log into the web app, that creates the scenario where I only use the mobile app for a week and it kills my streak. This is the first time I have noticed it so clearly - but it has happened to me before on a given week where I randomly happen to only use the mobile app.

This issue happens to me randomly, and my current streak was in the neighborhood of 17 weeks before it reset. Me changing something in order for it to happen or not happen randomly or maybe over the next 6 months just isn't really a viable method for me to be able to test this and provide relevant feedback or know whether something has improved or not.

I am not sure if the added description helps to explain what I think the issue is and if there might be better methods you have to test this?

We wouldn't know for sure what's causing the issue, and the only potential culprit I can think of at this point is the use of biometrics. Beyond that, I'm not sure there are any additional troubleshooting steps we can offer here in the Community.
