How to Apply a Global Change of Payees? (edited)

Question

After using Simplifi for more than a year, I have entered payees in different ways, such as “U S Postal Service” and “US Postal Service”. I would like to ask the more senior members if there is a way of globally changing the payees, such as all the “U S Postal Service” to “US Postal Service”.

If the best or only way is to export all the transactions and then import back to Simplifi, how would that be done without creating duplicate entries.

I keep it simple; I just use USPS.  But as Natalie says, it isn't difficult to get them uniform and then Simplifi will only remember the one that you are now using.

You can apply global changes to transactions by using the 'bulk edit' option. The section listed as "How to Bulk Edit Multiple Transactions" in our help article here has the steps to do so:
