Linked loan account with TCT FCU has an inverse balance (positive instead of negative) [edited]

Issue: I have a loan through TCT Federal Credit Union connected as a linked account. Simplifi correctly lists it under Liabilities, but the balance is being treated as a positive asset in my net worth calculation instead of being subtracted as debt.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Link a loan account from TCT Federal Credit Union
2. View the account in the Accounts list / net worth view
3. The account appears under Liabilities, but its balance inflates net worth rather than reducing it

Expected behavior: The loan balance should be treated as a negative value (debt) and subtracted from net worth.

Workaround: Converting the account to a manual account fixes the balance handling, but that means losing automatic transaction/balance syncing from the linked connection — not a viable long-term solution.

Thank you for providing those details. Since the loan account is being connected successfully but the balance is being handled with the incorrect sign, I’d like to have you try a full reconnection of the account to establish a completely fresh connection with TCT Federal Credit Union.

Please try the following:

1. Make the TCT FCU loan account manual by following the steps here: How to Make an Account Manual
2. Once the account appears under Settings > Accounts > Manual Accounts, go through the Add Account flow to reconnect to TCT Federal Credit Union.
3. When the connection finds your loan account, carefully link it to your existing Quicken Simplifi loan account rather than creating a new account. You can follow the steps here: How to Link Accounts
4. Once it's reconnected, check whether the loan balance is now being displayed correctly as a negative liability.

If the issue persists after completing these steps, you can also try revoking Quicken's third-party access directly through the TCT Federal Credit Union website, if that option is available. Once access has been revoked, return to Quicken Simplifi and reconnect the account again.

Please let us know how it goes after trying these steps. If the balance is still showing as positive, we'll take a closer look from there.
