Have you tried entering the transaction again to see if it will show up? You say this is for Planned Spending so you might want to delete that category in the Planned Spending section, and add it back again.

Just a couple of suggestions. Glitches like this sometimes happen.

when i enter a transaction manually it shows up. from what i read if i delete and reenter a planned spending it/category, it will take effect for everything in the future, so my past stuff is forgotten.

these come in every month from a bank, i have lots of others that are not working, seems like something is not working.

No, it's not true that it won't take effect. You should be able to make a new transaction and delete the old one.

Is this a connected account that updates daily? Or do you import monthly?

correct the transaction add/delete worked as advertised, but dropping the category from planned spend is what only works going forward, as i start to look closer at this i have 5 planned spend items not working.

these bank accounts update daily, come from charge cards, or bank transactions.

If you date the transaction for August 10, it will show up in the Spending Plan in August.

Another thing you could do with the August 10 donation to make it show up in your Spending Plan would be to mark it as a one-time bill.

the transaction that came in from my bank, on a monthly basis, is dated Aug 10, AI found it. These are recurring expenses, that I would hope would show up on my spending plan. I don't think i need to have to make manual entries for all of these.

No, but if you can figure out what's wrong with the August 10th entry maybe you could figure out what is going wrong.

These are the kinds of things I do when I have glitches, and usually I find a way to make it work.

Are the transactions showing up as buisness transactions or personal transactions? When using QBP (Quicken Business & Personal), any business transactions done shipped up in the Spending Plan…which is kinda annoying. If you don’t have QBP, then it wouldn’t be that.

think i figured it out. i was trying to use spending plan, like budget in regular quicken. i entered my budgeted amounts in spending plans. i thought my bills would show up in the planned spend, if i have a recurring bill, like cable that is in bills, but then i don't need to set one up in planned spend.

Glad to hear. Yes, the Spending Plan is a different animal and it takes some time to get used to how it works when you come from a more conventional app. We all had the same problems when we started.

Yep, regular bills (or even some irregular ones) that have reminders won't show up in the Planned Spending area. Those planned categories are mostly for haphazard monthly spending that varies, eg., groceries, gasoline, household items. You more or less guestimate how much you will spend or how much you can afford to spend or how much you want to spend for those. At the end of the month, you can release leftover funds or roll them over to the next month.

I always figure that I won the month if I have leftover money to release.
