Raymond James cost basis stopped syncing on one Simplifi account

I have two separate Simplifi accounts, and both connect to Raymond James.

In my personal Simplifi account, Raymond James investment cost basis downloads correctly and continues to update.

In my mother’s Simplifi account, the Raymond James holdings, share quantities, prices, and balances still update correctly, but the cost basis for most holdings disappeared and now shows blank/incomplete. The cost basis used to be there.

Raymond James Client Access and the monthly statements still show the correct cost basis for those same holdings, so the source institution still has the data.

I have manually entered some of the missing basis in Simplifi as a temporary workaround, but dividend reinvestments keep changing the share quantities while the manual cost basis stays static, so that is not practical long term.

Can you investigate why the Raymond James connection for this Simplifi account is no longer importing cost basis, even though another Simplifi account connected to Raymond James still imports it correctly?

I recommend starting by establishing a completely fresh connection with the bank for your mother's account to see whether that brings the cost basis data back. Here are the steps to follow:

Make all of the accounts with this bank manual by following the steps here.
Once you see the account(s) listed in the Manual Accounts section under Settings > Accounts, go back through the Add Account flow to reconnect to the bank.
If the connection is successful, carefully link the account(s) found to your existing Quicken Simplifi account(s) by following the steps here.

Will this have the same effect as just clicking " Reconnect Accounts " and relinking them that way (instead of setting them to manual first), because I did that already? Just don't want to lose any data by changing to manual.

@ExtraGloves, making an account manual and then going back through the Add Account flow is different from resetting the connection or using the "Reconnect Account" prompt, as it severs any existing ties to the financial institution and brings in a completely fresh connection.
