Incorrect balance showing for Chase Checking

Hi,

Just subscribed to Quicken Simplifi.

My balance for my Chase checking account is off by close to $110. There are pending transactions, but they are reflected in my Chase balance The quicken simplifi balance is $110 LESS than my actual chase balance, even including the pending transactions.

Any suggestions on what to look for?

Thanks for reaching out! I can see the Chase balance is $1,079.25, while Quicken Simplifi is showing $969.38, which is a difference of about $109.87.

Since you mentioned that the pending transactions are already included in the balance shown by Chase, I’d first recommend checking whether Quicken Simplifi is also including those pending transactions in its balance.

Could you please try the following?

Open the Chase Checking account in Simplifi.
Check whether the account is set to Balance with Pending or Bank Balance.

Compare the pending transactions in Quicken Simplifi with those showing on Chase, paying particular attention to whether their total is close to the $109.87 difference.
You can also manually refresh the account by hovering over the left sidebar and clicking the Refresh icon.

Also, keep in mind that there can sometimes be a delay between when information is available at the financial institution and when Quicken Simplifi receives and processes it. This can include transactions, pending transaction updates, and the balance information used for Quicken Simplifi's calculations. It may take 4–6 hours for pending transactions to be reflected after they appear on the bank's website.

If the difference remains after allowing some time for the account to refresh, please let me know what balance Quicken Simplifi shows when the account is set to Bank Balance. That will help determine whether the discrepancy is related to the pending transactions or to the balance being reported by Chase.

Hi,

Bank Balance shows the bank balance not including pending transactions.

It was on Balance with Pending.

I can't see where the $109.87 comes from - pending transactions is well over $200.

Even if there's a 'delay' in transactions showing up in Simplifi, the balance should be HIGHER than my bank balance, not lower, right?

I would suggest that if your transactions are only showing from a specific year and on, change that temporarily in case there are older pending transactions that are throwing off the balance. That happened to me once :)
