Steps to reproduce:

Open up an expense that was previously not set to "Exclude from spending plan". Add a split to the transaction where one part of the split is set to "Exclude from spending plan".
Open up a spending report & add in the "Not Excluded in spending plan" filter.

Result is that both parts of the split are represented in the report. I would have expected that only the split where "Exclude from spending plan" was not selected to be shown.

Thanks for providing the detailed steps to reproduce this. I’m sorry you’re running into this behavior.

Before we investigate further, could you please try the following?

Confirm that Quicken Simplifi and your OS is fully up to date.
Reopen the transaction and verify that one split is marked Exclude from spending plan while the other is not.
Reopen the spending report and confirm that the Not Excluded in spending plan filter is selected.

If the issue persists, could you please provide screenshots showing:

The split transaction with the Exclude from spending plan setting visible.
The report with the Not Excluded in spending plan filter applied and both split portions appearing.

Please make sure to cover or remove any sensitive financial information from the screenshots before posting them here.

Once we have those details, we can take a closer look.

I replicated the issue and forwarded it to the proper channels for further investigation and resolution.

To help investigate the issue, please send logs. To do that, please follow these steps:

Log in to the Quicken Simplifi Web App.
Select the Profile icon in the upper-right corner of the screen.
With the Profile menu open, hold down the Option key (Mac) or the Alt key (Windows), and then click Send Feedback.
Leave all boxes checked, add a brief description of the issue, and then click Send.
