Why is my monthly annuity income being categorized as a credit card payment

One of my monthly annuities is being categorized as a credit card payment. I cannot create a rule to fix it since rules won't work for credit card payments because it says it is linked to other things. But it is not linked to anything else and it is not a credit card payment and is in fact income and not a payment at all.

I have another annuity that is categorized differently and I am able to create a rule for it. I'm glad one of them is right at least.

But what gives? and what can I do?

I’m sorry you’re running into this! Since the annuity transaction is being incorrectly identified as a credit card payment, that would explain why you’re unable to create a rule for it.

Could you please try the following?

• Make sure you’re using the latest version of Quicken Simplifi and OS.
• Check whether the same transaction is categorized as a credit card payment on the Quicken Simplifi Web App.
• Please provide screenshots of the transaction details, including the category and account it’s associated with, as well as the other annuity transaction that is being categorized correctly.

Once we have that information, we can take a closer look at what’s causing the transaction to be identified this way.
