It seems that since this past Saturday that Quicken has required me to reauthorize with Pentagon Federal Credit Union to download transactions.

The bank likely changed something on their end to increase MFA prompts for security. Banks control their own MFA requirements; more details can be found in our help article here: https://support.simplifi.quicken.com/en/articles/4704254-why-do-i-need-to-re-authenticate-my-bank-with-every-refresh
As mentioned in the article, you can reduce account updates so they run only once per day, or as often as you'd like, requiring you to complete MFA only during those updates.
