I just checked out AI to get Amazon purchases categorized, as it seems we may see this feature only in a several years (not even planend yet after 4 years of asking and other companies already doing it).
Here is what I did, and works well so far:
- export categories from Quicken Simplifi (well not directly yet, but export transactions and remove duplicate categories)
- export all amazon purchases with the chrome extension
-tell AI "categorize all those amazon purchases in the orders spreadsheet by using the categories from the quicken export".
-tell AI to "open
https://simplifi.quicken.com
", enter your credentials
-tell AI "Split transaction with payee Amazon to properly categorized items according to the amazon order spreadsheet you just worked on. Do this interactively, let me approve each change before saving. Ordering location and delivery location is XYZ City in XYZ state. Amazon spreadsheet doesn't provide any tax information per item. But apply what makes sense from tax laws."
- then could tell AI "Please continue without asking each transaction, unless there is a question or uncertainty."
Anyone else used AI to work on anything tedious in Quicken?
