Account Balance Not Updating After Downloading Transactions (edited)

I have gotten all my transactions downloaded from my bank and made quite a number of Catagory changes and additions. The odd thing is that my account balance has not changed at all from when I was asked to put in a starting balance. I was expecting that when I added more information in transactions and deposits that it would be reflected in my account balance. Wonder if I have done something wrong??

Hi @Josienurse,

You haven't necessarily done anything wrong! Changing or adding categories to transactions won't affect your account balance. However, downloaded transactions, including deposits and withdrawals, should be reflected in the balance.

If your balance hasn't changed since you entered the starting balance, could you check whether the downloaded transactions are showing as posted in your account?

Also, are you seeing the transactions listed in Quicken Simplifi, but the account balance remains the same?

Could you also share a screenshot of the account showing the downloaded transactions and the current balance? Please make sure to hide any sensitive personal or financial information.

It looks like all the downloaded transactions ARE showing up as transactions in the checking account I have added to Simplify (and in the Catagories I have added or changed). But the balance of my account has not changed from the original amount I added as the "starting balance"
