Another vote for this type of clone transaction feature. My use case is that one of my banks does not support OAuth. For security reasons I will not share my username/password for that bank. This means I have to manually enter all transactions for that bank into Simplifi. They tend to be similar transactions, so I need the ability to clone a previous transaction and then change the date and amount and perhaps other fields as needed.
This would save a lot of users a lot of time. Would really add value to the product. I need it for the manual entries to my cash and a few other manual accounts.
Agree, this should really be a priority and would be time saving for many users.

Agree, this is essential. I have monthly bills with the same splits every month and hate to retype them every single time. Quicken used to do this!
YES need the ability to COPY any transaction and make a duplicate.. so many uses for this. I NEED this feature.

When in accounts, after selecting (checkbox) a transaction, add the option/button to duplicate it, resulting in 2 transaction the same, with the edit window opened on the 2nd transaction to allow updates to any fields as required.
This has my vote. Why hasn't this happened yet?
Upvoted this. I like the Duplicate Transaction in Quicken Classic. But I have to point out that if Recurring Transactions allowed Splits, you could simply do this once and then it would be automatic except for any changes you need from the last paycheck. Quicken Classic has both of these features.
This is an obvious need and should’ve been incorporated from the getgo
It would be useful to be able to use an existing transaction as a template when creating a new transaction. Copy/paste or clone a transaction would serve that purpose. Upvoted.
I definitely agree with August, 2024 post and January 4, 2025 post! I waste so much time not having a simple copy/paste function which is basic functionality that should be added immediately!
A copy paste function is a pretty basic feature and in my mind a simple ask.
Hopefully this is considered as a future enhancement.
I, too, would really appreciate the ability to duplicate a transaction.
Unfortunately I have several accounts where I have to enter transactions manually due to their not connecting with Simplifi. Many of those transactions are identical except for the date, so it would be a time-saver to copy and paste not only individual fields but the payee, amount, account, category and tags all at once.
Please, please, add the ability to duplicate an existing transaction like Quicken Classic has. The fact that you cannot do this basic task is my number one source of frustration with Quicken Simplifi.
I will upvote this as it would be nice to have, but what we really need are splits recurring reminders as well as the one-click ability to turn a recurring reminder into a transaction.

Can we add a “Duplicate” action to the three‑dot (•••) menu on each transaction in the Transactions list and transaction detail?
This would save time and reduce manual entries for transactions that are identical or nearly identical but not strictly recurring.

I would use this, but would prefer that the date on the new transaction default to today's date.
I would definitely use it, but ideally want it to open the New Transaction window so I can see what will be created and edit anything I want to (date and check number come to mind) before clicking Create.
