Applying sales tax to transactions

It would be great to have a field for sales tax to be added for transactions. Maybe a default value that can be configured by the user and available to be edited for each transaction. This would be useful for split transaction.  Each split amount should have an apply sales tax selection. Another field would be required to hold the total amount including sales tax.
