Allow future months to be selected in Reports/Show future transactions (edited)

I'd like to have a way of looking at a single account's upcoming expenses per month. It would be a nice feature if the spending report allowed selection of "Next month" or Custom with the option to include future transactions.

Having gone through the process of setting up the spending plan to include future bills, planned spending and income, I was sad to see that this information isn't populating into the reports (spending, income, net income & spending, net worth). It would be extremely useful to offer an option to include future planned transactions in the reports.
… Apologies in advance if this request already exists. I searched for a while and didn't find it, but it seems like this must be a common request.

While this request is being considered, a workaround is creating watchlists either including all your income, all your expenses, or all categories. The watchlists will incorporate future transactions in them. I have an all expenses, all income, and all transactions (net income watchlist). These display future transactions above the past transactions in a horizontal ribbon, like the transaction list.

Question for UrsulaA, How did you get the watchlist to show future months? I created one with all categories (and there is no select All so I had to click each one individually), the result only shows the past 11 months and the current month.

This is absolutely essential for planning for the future.
My use case:
I'm a college student that gets allowance from my parents each month (for rent, groceries, medical bills etc - basically everything).
I need to be able to share my reports with them each month so they know and verify how much I will need. I also need projected semester and yearly reports so my parents and I can do larger family planning - you know, the ENTIRE premise of budgeting.
I started using quicken in 2024 and it's a lifesaver in terms of keeping track of money. But not being able to comprehensively see your future expenses is a deal breaker for a budgeting app. Please fix this ASAP!

Hello @Karin C,
Thank you for coming to the Community to share your feedback! Since there is already an active request for the feature you're asking for, I merged your request with the active request.
Thank you!
