Anyone else experiencing problems here. This has worked perfectly for months , now the account can't even be seen by Simplifi.

Hello @Irishtoon,
Thank you for reporting this issue to the Community, although I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing difficulties connecting to PayPal in Simplifi.
It looks like we have a known issue with PayPal Credit, MasterCard and Crypto not returning accounts as available to connect to. There is currently no ETA on a resolution, however, our Alert can be followed for updates in the meantime.
We appreciate your patience as we work to resolve this matter!

Same here, can confirm the PayPal account is a total disaster now. Tried to reconnect in settings, but instead it found another account (real PayPal account, not the Mastercard one), which was then linked it to my Simplify PayPal Mastercard account – and now it's totally busted with lots of duplicates I have to clean up manually… 😅
I love Simplify but episodes like that just undermine my faith. Truth be told however, maybe it's something related to the PayPal, because all the solutions I tried before (Mint.com, TillerHQ, etc.) have ALWAYS had issues with the PayPay Mastercard!!!

@Coach Natalie just gently checking whether there was any ETA regarding PayPal issue? I am relying on this card so much, but for now it completely stopped being tracked… Thank you!

Also waiting for an update. I know the last issue took a few weeks to resolve so hopefully this one is quicker. Since the card is my main driver, if I'm not getting reporting data, it kinda defeats the purpose of linking to Simpilifi 😅

For me this issue seems to be resolved today, what about you guys? I had to reset my connection, but now everything seems to be working back as normal (don't want to jinx it!)

Just got the email that it's resolved today. Gonna try resetting my connection as well
Edit: It didn't work but I'm guessing/hoping it takes a while to process the missing data? FYI @Simplifi, when the resolution tickets are closed, they should include the steps the user may need to do undergo to sync missing data. With the current method, customers just have to play around w/ the system and see what works/breaks/create unnecessary tix w/ the support team.

Hello @macallik,
Thanks for reaching out to the Community, although I'm sorry to hear that you're still experiencing an issue.
As far as I know, we haven't received any additional reports of issues with PayPal after resolving the Alert. No special steps should be required outside of reconnecting a disconnected account or adding a missing account, whichever applies.
With that said, would you mind clarifying what exactly you're seeing with your PayPal account(s) in Simplifi? Were you able to connect the credit card account? You mentioned missing data — are transactions not downloading, is your balance not updating, etc.?
Please let us know so we can best assist!

My PayPal Credit account is also not working. The issue are transactions. My PayPal Credit balance appears accurately, but any transactions that have occured after March 9th do not appear under "Transaction Activity."

Hello @Phogramity,
Thanks for posting to the Community, although I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing missing transactions with PayPal in Simplifi.
First, if the account is a credit card account, you'll want to make sure it's connected using the option listed as 'PayPal Credit, MasterCard and Crypto'. More details on connecting PayPal accounts using the API are outlined in our Support Article here under "PayPal Tips & Tricks".
If the account is connected properly, I'd suggest performing an account reset by following the steps listed here to see if the transactions then download. We also have a Support Article available here that goes over troubleshooting missing transactions in Simplifi.
Please let us know how it goes!

Hi @Coach Natalie,
- I can confirm that I am using "
PayPal Credit, MasterCard and Crypto"
when connecting the PayPal credit account. - I've tried multiple times to reset the connection using the steps in the link above. It has not resolved the issue.
I can also confirm there are no filters that would prevent me from seeing newer transactions.

- The current balance of the account, as displayed on the bank's website.

- A screenshot of the transactions displayed on the bank's website.
- A screenshot of the account register in Simplifi showing that the transactions are missing.
Thanks in advance!

Hello @Phogramity,
Thank you for your patience as this was being researched!
I've received an update on the escalation stating that the issue should now be resolved and the missing transactions should download upon an account refresh. Please give this a try and let us know how it goes.

Hello again @Phogramity,
It looks like the issue with missing PayPal credit card transactions has now been reported as "known". If you are still seeing this issue with your PayPal credit card account in Simplifi, please be sure to follow our Alert.
Thanks!

Just updating things since it's now two weeks since this post and just over a month since PayPal stopped working.
For some reason, I didn't get an alert when I was quoted by Natalie but I did load a tix separately on the 5th (#10166195) that was escalated by Customer Care. After a few days, I reached out for an update last week & was told it's still being worked on. That was a week ago and I haven't heard anything since so I was about to do so again and doubled back to this thread.
One suggestion to better manage expectations is to have initial support (or the escalation team) update customers on open tix, or, when the issue is identified as a widespread issue, have someone redirect existing tix to 'Current Online Banking Issues' thread so that users have contect & can bookmark that for updates.
I sympathize with Simplifi being the middle man when CC companies change their back-end/APIs. At the same time, I do hope there's improvements with managing expectations. I definitely understand the downside of estimating a date and blowing by it, but on the flipside, a lack of even a rough ETA (ie with every issue, no one knows if it will take days, weeks or months to resolve), customers are stuck in limbo with no frame of reference and no-one from Simplifi proactively managing expectations if even to just say that the issue is still being worked on.
