Idea: Dashboard to detail your important personal KPI

I would love a widget area where I could choose some premade widgets: It does not have to be granular and drillable on first pass. I guess heck first pass would not need to be widgets just hard coded. I just suggest since some people might not want all of these.

The main thing here is to provide a heads-up display. The dashboard I think is a little thrown together and not clear what each section is trying to get you to do… What is the call to action…
So a section to review performance is good.

First a top level bar that lists some stuff:

A: Number of Months with Positive Net Income.
B: Number of Months Contributing to at least one goal. (Give Badges for this too)
C: YTD change in Networth
D: YTD Change in Credit Balance

Then some performance stuff.

1. Actual vs Plan (Aggregate Spending Plan)
2. Balance & Change in Checking Accounts (Prior Month, Current Month and YTD)
3. Balance & Change in Savings Accounts (Prior Month, Current Month and YTD)
4. Balance & Change in Spending Goals (Prior Month, Current Month and YTD)
5. Balance & Change in Investment Accounts (Prior Month, Current Month and YTD)
6. Balance & Change in Credit Card Balance (Prior Month, Current Month and YTD)

You get the idea.

This could all go on the 'existing dashboard', but I voted for it because i like the idea of more widgets and these are generally good ideas.

I am a bit confused on the user story for the Dashboard.
It feels like right now it is focused on "activity"
    1. Current status of category spend
    2. Focus on large transactions
    3. Focus on upcoming transactions

I would love to understand the user story for the dashboard area. What is its value proposition in the world of simplify?
