Ability to use the Escape key to exit Category selection instead of entire screen (edited)

when i am in the transaction split screen and I am in the category drop down if I decide I want to exit that drop down I hit escape and it closes the entire split screen form without saving and I loss all my work. escape should close the drop down and place me back in the current field.
