Updated 05/13/20: New features and improvements for Simplifi
Every update we release for Simplifi includes improvements to the program, as well as fixes for any bugs or glitches we discover. You can view details in the Release Notes for each update. But we wanted to highlight a few recent enhancements we’ve made to the program, in case you haven’t discovered them yet!
We’ve made quite a few changes in colors, fonts, and display settings, to make the interface clearer and easier to use. And, since this announcement was first posted on May 12, we've added redesigned Menu Bar icons to the web version of Simplifi. (See the image at the end of this post.) You’ll also notice some changes in names and terms, to make them more consistent between web and mobile versions. For example, the “Manage” menu has been renamed “Settings” to match the mobile app, and an unmatched recurring bill is now tagged as “Past” instead of “Waiting.”
Here are some of the most significant improvements:
- Standardized the list format for all Simplifi modules, including Transactions, Insights, and Watchlists.
- Improved the editing form for “bulk editing” multiple transactions.
- Changed Upcoming transactions on the web to match the “card” format of the mobile app.
- Added an edit menu to Upcoming cards that lets you link a reminder to a posted transaction. There’s also an option to view a bar graph of all the items in a recurring series.
- Added more date range options to the Projected Balance graph, which now remembers the last range you selected. You can also directly edit the information for any point on the graph.
- Enabled display of the Projected Balance and Upcoming Reminders at the same time.
- Included the option to enter custom amounts for the Spendable Income and Bills & Subscriptions totals, or accept calculated totals.
- Expanded the details for Savings Goals, and allowed direct editing of Goal names, amounts, contributions and target dates.
- Increased the number of Emojis available for Spending Watchlists, to give you more choices.
We’re currently working on even more improvements to Simplifi. We will announce them here as soon as they are released!
