When I was a kid yes. It was a cabbage patch doll I wanted that was under the tree. I was 10 years old or younger.
Now, I rather get cash.

I looked in my parents' closet and found a few things. A time or two I may have peeled back the edge of a present to see.
When I got older, I once unwrapped a gift and wrapped it up again, and she wasn't amused. ;)

I was never one to look for gifts as a kid, as I always preferred to be surprised.
As an adult, I don't get gifts anymore. But I'm not complaining.

Yea as kids my sister and I would agree to do this together for a couple presents (not all of them) and then tape them back up. Because we both knew the other would tell if we did it on our own, so mutually assured destruction was the way.

I have never done that, but I remember one Christmas my nephew got a pair of pants and looked at them and tossed them off to the side. He probably would have wrapped them back up if he could.

Yes, I unwrapped a few choice gifts and re-wrapped them when I was a teenager. It only extended the pleasure for longer and opening it up again on xmas day what great!
