Cash Account not showing balance

I set up a cash account under other banking. I added the opening balance then added two deposits. However, the account summary is showing a zero balance. Also, it's showing a Projected Cash Flow at zero for today too.

I just want a simple account for this and not to use any projections for this account.

Thanks

  • It seems that I have added it as an expense. How to I add cash and not show it as income?

If the cash comes from another account, Set it up as a linked transfer - you do this by setting the category to a transfer subcategory of the account name… So if $200 went from checking to cash account, you'd set the $200 transaction in checking with a category of the cash account (under transfers) and it would move tthe money without counting it as income.

  • The cash isn't coming from another account. I started over again with an opening balance and then added 'Cash in' as an income category. Still showing zero on balance and the graph is showing from a negative number to zero!

There is an alert (for a few weeks?) about a problem with manual accounts —- which may be affecting you:
