Bug: Connected Fidelity brokerage account does not include margin

For example, if you have $ 100,000 in stock, and a margin debt of $ 30,000, Simplifi should show that the total value in the account is $ 70,000, but it shows $100,000.

    Hello @divegoga,

To assist with this issue, please provide more information. Where are you seeing the incorrect value reflected (Dashboard, Portfolio tab, Balances tab, etc)? How does the financial institution reflect the debt on their end (for instance, do they have a separate margin account to represent the debt)?

I look forward to your reply!

    Hi Kristina,

I see it everywhere, starting with the value of the brokerage account in the Accounts list, and following on every calculation that derived from it, like the Investing and Net worth sections on the Dashboard.

Fidelity always calculates the “total account value” of the brokerage a account using the values of the investments minus the margin debt. All the details are present in the “balances” section, under “value of your investments” and “margin status/cash & credits”. There is no separate margin account.

@divegoga, thanks for providing additional details!

Please provide the following data so this can be reviewed for a balance discrepancy escalation:

    1. The name of the account, as it appears in Quicken Simplifi.
    2. The balance for the account in the Accounts List in Quicken Simplifi (this is the list of all accounts and balances on the left side of the Dashboard on the Quicken Simplifi Web App, or the list of all of your accounts when you select "Accounts" from the Quicken Simplifi Mobile App).
    3. The balance for the account in the Investments Portfolio in Quicken Simplifi (if you have multiple investment accounts, you'll want to filter the page to just this account).
    4. The balance for the account as displayed on the bank's website.
    5. A screenshot of the holdings and balances for the account in Quicken Simplifi (if you have multiple investment accounts, you'll want to filter the page to just this account).
    6. A screenshot of the holdings and balance on the bank's website for a comparison.

We look forward to your reply!

Hi Natalie. That’s a lot :) Is there a way to send that information privately?
