Etrade FDP-185 error (edited)

Transferred from Mint, trying to connect to ETrade - Reads "Account needs attention (Care: FDP-185) A multi-factor authentication is required to connect to your account at E*TRADE Securities."…

However, when I try to reset the connect and it gets to the point where it's asking for 2-factor it states, "Please enter six-digit code from VIP Access mobile app or hardware token"… but there is no such app for eTrade, so I think this is an old instruction.

Please help.

    Hello @frostwick,

Thanks for reaching out! We do have a couple of different instances for E*Trade. Have you tried one of the others when connecting? Additionally, have you tried logging in directly at the Financial institution's website to determine if you are asked for an MFA there and whether it is the same type of MFA being asked for? Please let us know!

    Thanks,

  • Thank you for the advice. I tried a different version of eTrade and it worked!
