Can the start date of a series be set to a past transaction?

I was trying to create a recurring series for a subscription that I started a year ago that is still active. I can see that I'm able to link the old transactions to an existing series or create a new one, but in either case the start date can only be set from present day and forward. Does this mean the start date for a recurring series designed to reflect the start date of the reminders themselves and not when the first transaction of a series actually started?

    Hi @defiantsnack000

According to the Recurring transactions support article Q&A,

“How do I enter a Bill for a prior month?

When creating a new Recurring Series through the Settings menu, Quicken Simplifi will only allow you to select the current or a future date. However, you can create a Bill for a past month from the transaction directly!”

Once created, you may be able to go back and add the previous occurrences of this bill to the series, but not sure about that or if/why you would do that.

Here’s a link to the article.

To access all the support articles, use the Support link at top of this page and select Quicken Simplifi.
