Why does the signature on my posts not look like what I entered

I liked the signature others had about their previous financial software experience and I thought I'd replicate it. I entered the signature as follows

However what shows on my posts is this

What gives?

-Quicken Desktop 2005-2014
-Mint 2014-2023
-Simplifi in Jan 2024 (fleeing from Credit Kharma)
-Excel forever!!!

    That’s very strange indeed.

My first comment was to see what my signature looked like and it appears as expected. I notice that it looks like you have a blank line before your first typed line. If so, maybe removing it will get rid of the unexpected behavior… just guessing here.

this is a test to see if removing the blank line helped

Odd, just to troubleshoot, you might try writing what you want in MS Notepad or some such formatting-free software and copy/pasting it from there into Simplifi.

Good idea. After cutting all text from current signature and pasting in notepad, then saving blank signature, I opened and then copied and pasted from notepad here….fingers crossed.

SURPRISE!?! All my previous posts have the corrected signature. I had assumed it was just inserting the formatted text into the post as additional text each time. I now realize the signature on every post you have posted in the past is your CURRENT signature
