The bank balance doesn't change when I input a manual transaction in different timezones

Currently I locate at GMT+8 time zone.

Yesterday in the morning I created almost 20 manual accounts and setup the initial balance. However, the bank balance for my all accounts were 0 and when I input a manual transaction in a manual bank account, the bank balance still didn’t change but if I input a manual transaction last night, the bank balance changed immediately.

In the morning today I input another transaction to a bank account but the bank balance does not change again.

I am sure the status of each transactions I input is cleared because I have manual banks amounts and manual transactions only. I don’t have any connected account.

How to reproduce this issue?

  • The mobile app uses the local timezone
  • The web app uses the system timezone

My local date is 3/17.

When using the mobile app to add a transaction A, the default date for that transaction A is 3/17 on mobile app but the system (still on 3/16) thinks that transaction A is a future transaction so it doesn’t count it into the bank balance.

When the system date is 3/17, that transaction A still doesn’t count into the bank balance, you need to add another new transaction B as a trigger, the system will recalculate all corresponding transactions (A & B) to the correct value of the bank balance.

    Hello @Morey Chang,

Thanks for posting to the community. Would you be able to change your web application's device system time to the local time to test if this resolves the issue? Or checking to see if your time settings in your browser can be changed to local time?

Additionally, I would suggest checking to see if your entered transactions are being entered into the Bills & Payments section instead of the register.

    Thanks,

    Coach Jon

    hi Jon,
Would you please to set the region on your phone and laptop to GMT+8 then try to input transactions just like as I reported on the recordings I posted.

Simplifi does not support when user is traveling abroad outside the US in different timezone.

The transaction is not in Bills and Payments section.

    Hello @Morey Chang,

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, you may need to wait until you return to the US from traveling abroad to access Quicken Simplifi, as you may have trouble accessing and using Quicken Simplifi until you can return. There is not much we can do on our end, since the product is intended to be used within the US and Canada only. I apologize for not having a better solution!

    Thanks,

    Coach Jon
