https://www.michigan-529.com/ Is it possible to add this to Simplifi
Can you add Michigan 529 to one of the supported banks?
Website is:
https://www.michigan-529.com/midtpl/auth/ll.cs
Would be great to get this added!
Please add this very important account!!!!
Just here to provide the aggregation URL: https://www.michigan-529.com/aggregator
CA, GA, OK, MI, WI plus others all seem to share the TIAA 529 platform. Supporting this would be helpful to many customers.
Common now. this 'bank' was supported in Mint.
Mint used Intuit to connect to the Michigan Education Savings Program (MESP) aggregator URL ( https://www.michigan-529.com/aggregator ). Simplifi also uses Intuit to connect to accounts, so it shouldn't be difficult to add this institution. In fact, every Simplifi competitor I checked can successfully access Michigan Education Savings Program accounts, so why can't Simplifi?! Furthermore, this institution was originally requested in 2020, and there's still no access? This is very disappointing.
I'd like to add: because the Michigan Education Savings Program (MESP) aggregator URL ( https://www.michigan-529.com/aggregator ) was designed specifically for aggregators like Intuit (which Simplifi uses), it doesn't have any two-factor authentication to navigate and the site layout is designed so aggregators can easily download data into their systems.
In short, it should be relatively quick and easy for Simplifi to add the Michigan Education Savings Program (MESP) aggregator as an available institution. Please get it done!
Workaround to connect Michigan MESP 529 accounts to Simplifi AND avoid multi-factor authentication every time you log into Simplifi:
As stated by @Dognose above, "CA, GA, OK, MI, WI plus others all seem to share the TIAA 529 platform," so even though the MI 529 isn't available as an institution on Simplifi, my hope was that I could connect my MI 529s through another state that shares the same TIAA 529 platform.
In short, you can. I successfully connected my MI 529s through the New York 529 aggregator without issue. If you don't want to deal with multi-factor authentication every time you log into Simplifi, you'll need to create aggregator login credentials (which are entirely separate and different from your regular MI 529 login credentials). You do this online through the MI 529 site when logged in with your regular credentials. If you need help creating aggregator login credentials, please call the MI 529 for assistance.
Steps:
+1 to have MESP added.
Hi @Mike Popiel , not sure if you saw my post above, but there's a workaround to connect Michigan MESP 529 accounts to Simplifi AND avoid multi-factor authentication every time you log into Simplifi. You can connect your MI 529s through the New York 529 aggregator:
