Ability to hide excluded transactions from Transaction Activity areas of the Spending Plan (edited)

in the mobile app, you can hit the options button to completely hide the transactions you have removed from spending plan. I would like to see this in other spending as it gets cluttered when brokerage transactions get marked as uncategorized

Add filtering capabilities to the Spending Plan Other Spending view to allow for filtering out transactions excluded from spending plan (e.g. investment transactions) from the register on mobile version. These transactions excluded from spending plan clutter the register view in the Other Spending, which is where you need the most clarity to understand if you are overspending in a month or haven’t classified a bill/subscription correctly and so forth. Would be a great quality of life upgrade to have option to filter out those excluded transactions from the view.

I realize this filter exists for reports. But I want it specifically in the Spending Plan view because that’s what I glance at when I’m out and about deciding whether to buy something or not.

I agree that this change is needed especially for users with multiple investment accounts and many investment transactions creating noise in “Other Spending” section. Non-spending account like investment accounts that are set up at an account level to exclude transactions from spending plan and reports should not have transactions show up in “Other Spending” of spending plan. The whole idea of the “Spending Plan” section is to focus on spending accounts and has nothing to do with investment transactions. Most users are likely using “Other Spending” to see spending outside of “Planned Spending” and to see if they need to categorize a spend transaction or create a new “Planned Spending” category. In mint you could easily see uncategorized spending only without noise from investment transactions. You are already filtering investment transaction out of “All Transactions” section so you just need to do the same in “Spending Plan”.

I would like the same ability on the Web app. The amount spent that is calculated in my Spending Plan is correct, but the detailed "Transaction Activity" still shows transactions that have been "Excluded from Spending Plan". This adds unnecessary confusion when reviewing transactions in that view.

I agree. Please don’t display excluded transactions at all.

I agree. Excluded transactions should have a button that explicitly shows them. If the intention was to exclude it from the spending plan in the first place then there must be some intention to this. It fills up the plan with unnecessary clutter by default. Also, there's no way to exclude it from the higher level transactions like income, bills, and subscriptions. They're just there with no resolution to clean it up. In my opinion, this would make the UI so much cleaner. If someone wants this as the default behavior then maybe as part of spending plan settings make it toggleable.
