Cannot connect to E-Trade (FDP-103)
I have multiple accounts in ETrade and use 2FA. Quicken correctly prompts for 2FA code for ETrade and then pulls back the list of accounts to add. However, all accounts fail to load (show up with $0.00 balance and red exclamation point) and Quicken prompts me to re-enter credentials. I've tried ETrade Advisor and ETrade Investments connection types and both fail. Does anybody know if ETrade with 2FA works with Quicken?

Hello @sakopov,
Thanks for reaching out! To better assist with your situation, can you let us know if the accounts are currently connected in Quicken Simplifi? Is it just the balance that doesn't update, or are the transactions not coming through either? Please let us know!

Hi @Coach Jon,
The account has never been connected before in Quicken Simplifi. It seems like it's able to get the list of accounts in ETrade but isn't able to load balances or transactions. I see an error message that says credentials need to be provided and a prompt to re-enter them. I have previously connected my ETrade accounts to other apps and have third-party access enabled, so this isn't a problem with ETrade.

Hello @sakopov,
Thanks for the screenshots confirming the 103 error. Have you tried the other instances for ETrade in Quicken Simplifi? I know you tried ETRADE - Advisor, and E*Trade Investments, but I would have you try the others to see if they work for you. Let us know!
Thanks,
Coach Jon

Looks like it started working. I logged back into the dashboard to try out one of the connections I have not tried (the credit card one) and noticed that Quicken automatically prompted me for ETrade 2FA upon dashboard refresh. I gave it the 2FA code and it finally refreshed all balances. So for anyone looking, what worked for me is leaving the account as-is, logging out and logging back in. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
