Fidelity won't connect FDP-390 error (edited)
Your account connection no longer works, but we have a new & improved way to connect to your financial institution: Care Code: FDP-390
I've tried this a few times, I keep getting the message above. What is this new & improved way to connect my account and how do I use it? It would be much more useful if the message told me what to do.

Is there a lightning bolt icon next to the account in the Account List? If so, click on it. If not, follow the instructions in this post (the numbered list) and you should be good to go.

No, no lightning bolt. It doesn't appear in the account list at all because I get the message when I try to add it.

I am having this exact same error when trying to add a Fidelity account. I am a brand new user and have never added Fidelity before, and so it also does not appear in the account list. Therefore, those instructions and the instructions on their help page (

It looks like you both need to switch over to the OAuth API connection in Quicken Simplifi. The steps to do so can be found here:
