Wells Fargo not connecting
Hi for a few days now, QS asks me to "reconnect" my Wells Fargo accounts. I go through the Wells Fargo steps entering passwords and 2FA but after its cycles through, I still have the red exclamation mark in QS stating I have connection errors.
I'm using Mac OS 14.5 on an updated version of Chrome as well as Safari.

@Max1223 try opening your browser in Incognito or InPrivate or whatever Safari calls it and try the connection process. I have found this to work for fixing connections problems in a number of instances.

I tried that via incognito mode and got this, so it would not update.

@Max1223, thanks for posting to the Community regarding this issue!
I'd suggest following these steps to establish a completely fresh connection with Wells Fargo, and also generate a new OAuth token:
- Navigate to the bank's website, sign in, and then remove Quicken's access from the bank's third-party linked apps.
- Navigate back to Quicken Simplifi and make all of your Wells Fargo accounts manual by following the steps here.
- Once you see the account(s) listed in the Manual Accounts section under Settings > Accounts, go back through the Add Account flow to reconnect to the bank.
- If the connection is successful, carefully link the account(s) found to your existing Quicken Simplifi account(s) by following the steps here.

I've done 1 and 2. Should I "Delete institution" before i do step 3?

@Max1223, your screenshot looks like an empty institution (no accounts under it). If you can locate your Wells Fargo accounts in the 'Manual Accounts' section, that empty institution can be deleted. Regardless, if the accounts are in the 'Manual Accounts' section, you can proceed with steps 3 and 4.
Thanks!

OK, I deleted the Account, BUT when I do step 3, it gives me options to Link to existing or create new. Want to be sure that I am to Create a New account. THEN link via step 4.

@Max1223, the linking part is step 4 — when the accounts are found during the Add Account flow, you want to carefully link them to the existing accounts. Linking accounts is what prevents duplicate accounts from being created.

So I think I did something wrong. I did step 3,
3. Once you see the account(s) listed in the Manual Accounts section under Settings > Accounts, go back through the Add Account flow to reconnect to the bank.
and added account and created NEW accounts, so I can wait for step 4. but I can't find a way to link the new account to the old one. The new accounts seem to have all the old transactions.
So I deleted the NEW accounts and through the QS flow, restarted step 4 AND linked them back to manual accounts. I think it's working now.
Some feedback, step 3 really is part of the workflow in step 4…as QS connects, it brings up the dialog box show here. But what would have been helpful in this link is to understand that this linking process is part of step 3, added a new account, making the new connections.
Thanks.

oh the other bit of feedback would be to have instructions around the recurring bills. I had a few but was not sure if I should reconnect them in fear of confusing or duplicate bills…so I'm in the process of resetting those.
Thanks
