Nice. Already made a few changes for my various accounts. In particular limiting updates for accounts that see very little activity during the month and for accounts that don't need to update more than once a day or once a week.

I made a few changes to my rarely used credit cards to update daily. I like the interactive manual refresh too.

I believe my PenFed accounts are usually slower to refresh, so I changed that one to Daily to see if it helps speed things up (time will tell).

This is a much needed and requested feature, thanks for adding it!!

Thank you. This is a much needed feature and it works great.

The second feature showing when the account was updated is also great. One feedback would be to display time updated in a more prominent place like Accounts rather than Settings—> Accounts. But I can live with this.

Very cool feature and seems to work well.

I set up the refresh frequency for certain accounts from the web browser. I assumed (probably wrongly) that opening the iOS app will still let these accounts refresh till the January iOS update. However, this is not the case. These accounts did not refresh today morning. We need these kind of nifty features more than the fancy bells and whistles in 2025!

This is a great feature! Thanks! @Robwilk What interval do you suggest for Chase? I assume if we set once a day, we can do an update on demand when we need it.

i think if you set chase to daily you still have to wait 4-6 hours but then could refresh when you want.

So, now that I am back on my computer and can see it, it seems it might be best for me to set my defaults at once a day and then only update the accounts I use frequently when I need to do so by hitting the update button as long as I wait at least 4 hours to do it after the last update.

Also, I assume if I set it for once daily, it will update when I open the app in the morning around 5am?

@SRC54 I'm not sure about what time it does it. I will say I noticed this morning that it was at least 10 hours from the last refresh, but my PenFed accounts were not updated with the morning refresh. It looks like it might wait 24 hours if you say daily- but i don't know if that's 24 hours from last refresh or when the schedule was set.

@RobWilk I will just have to test it out. I do think we need a 2x a day choice. But I may try 1x a Day for a while to see how it shakes out. Usually, that's enough unless I need Chase to update to fix something. And my checking account that I use a lot I will leave as is.

How about if you didn’t set a time for refresh for the accounts that need more updates (more than 1 per day)? . This would allow those accounts to update every 6-10 hours as it has done by itself before this feature.

@bgz Yes, I thought about just leaving it alone. I will likely do that for my main checking accounts and maybe my investment accounts. But you know how it is. I want to do a test drive and kick the tires.

ha ha.. makes sense. I am just way too happy that my HSA account (set to weekly updates) won’t send me 2FAs every time I open the app (which is 4-5 times per day). I can’t think of anything else now 🤣

It's great. I can now set the 2 accounts that always require an MFA to weekly and not deal with it all the time.

I want to set my other accounts to just update daily, but when I do that, the "Max Update Interval" icons clutter the left account list column. I've just reverted them back to always/default.

FYI in reference to when QS does a connected account update:

Your accounts will automatically refresh when you sign into Quicken Simplifi, however, Quicken Simplifi will only connect with your bank for new transactional and balance data once every 4-6 hours. (Emphasis added.)

This is from this support article:

How often does Quicken Simplifi update my accounts? | Quicken Simplifi Help Center

Just speculating here, but if your bank has not completed the overnight processing of transactions before you log in for the first time on a given day, I'm thinking you will not get the updated data you expect and will have to run and update latter that day.

@DannyB My bank doesn't seem to always be "ready" when I wake up, but the time they are "ready" (have properly processed cleared transactions) can vary anywhere between 6am and 11am. For that bank, though, I set it to always refresh. Another bank which can be problematic was downgraded to daily.

I'll keep an eye on this, but I have noticed the time it takes to refresh accounts when I first sign in has been greatly reduced.

Wow! I'm gone for 4 days and BAM! Another cool feature drop! Sorry, I'm apparently a bit slow, but where is this note referring to? I see where I can set the "max update interval", but this note makes it sound like there's another, separate setting to adjusting the frequency of MFA prompts. Where is that? Is this referring to the bank's website?

    @Flopbot

MFA prompts, for some banks, will be there at every refresh interval. Therefore max update interval effects max MFA interval… Something like that.
