Ability to remove tags during bulk edit
Similar to the way you can add multiple tags during bulk edit, I would like the ability to remove multiple tags during bulk edit.

I want to edit multiple transaction in the Tag field but its not working.
- I find transactions via the filter
- I select the all box to select all the transactions (about 30 or so, but have tried it with just 2)
- I edit to change Tag, change the tags to the new ones I want.
- hit Apply
- Nothing changes

Hello @Max1223,
Thanks for reaching out! I was unable to reproduce this issue on my side. For editing multiple transaction tags, any tags you select should be added onto any already applied to the transactions. If this is not working properly for you, I would suggest trying from a different browser/incognito mode to see if that works.

in Safari non private when I try to select a new tag, none of my tags show up.
in Safari Private mode, the Tags show up, but after hitting apply nothing changes.
Same for Chrome Private and non Private, hitting the Apply doesnt update the Tags.
Jon, try this, place 3 different tags, but the same tags for all into a few transactions, edit them all to just remove one of the three, resulting with 2 Tags. This is what I'm wanting to achieve, to remove 1 of the 3 Tags. Also I'm not going to delete a Tag to work around this as there is a bug reported on this as well.
Eg
Tag 1, Tag 2 and Tag 3 are in several transactions. I want to remove Tag 2 and keep Tag 1 and Tag 3. I can't seem to do this.

also found this, which to me, in my case seems more like a bug than a new feature. I should be able to remove and add tags through the Edit command

Thanks for the reply. I am not sure I understand. When editing multiple transactions, you cannot remove tags from the transactions you select, you can only add onto the tags for those transactions. In the screenshot you shared above, it states this under the 'Tags' box.
Does this make sense?

I'll ask you to try this:
- Create 3 different transactions
- Add 3 tags, 1,2 and 3 to EACH of those transactions so they each have the same tags.
- Select those transactions from the Transaction View
- Edit
- Try to remove Tag "3"
Let me know what happens. If QS is not letting me remove Tags at large, this is a bug, unexpected behavior.

I think there is confusion occurring here. When editing multiple transactions at the same time, you cannot remove tags from those transactions, only add them. We do have an idea post for what you are wanting, however, that you can vote for and follow here:

Yes it does, I feel that this is bug. I upvoted the other link but imho, this is bad design, to allow someone to bulk add but not bulk remove. In my analogy on the other post linked, think of a Light Switch, that you can't turn off, poor design. The feature is a switch that turns a light on and off, its a bug when the Off part of the switch isn't working.
Now I'm manually removing lots of Tag's because, yes I changed my mind about them or have refined the Tags so its better defined.
